Heyao Chu

Ms. Heyao received hes Bachelor degree in Piano Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She was awarded Edgar And Don Jones Memorial Scholarship during her time at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.  She was born in China and has started her piano journey at the age of 6. She has shown ter talent during her childhood and she won the first prize of Palatino Piano Competition at the age of 12.


Within a few years, Heyao has risen as one of China's top upcoming pianists. She enrolled in the Idyllwild Arts Academy, which is one of the greatest arts high school in the United States and has started her professional training.


Ms. Heyao has performed worldwide where she played her concerts for the Atlantic music festival, Cleveland Summer Sonata, Interlochen Arts Academy, Steinway Society and so on. Ms Heyao has worked with Victor Rosenbaum, Sara Buchner, Peter Tacacs, Natalya Antonova, Sean Augean, Havilland Willshire. And now, she can't wait to share her professional knowledge with the students and helps them to grow.

 

Ms. Heyao is also a passionate and expressive flutist. With a strong foundation in classical music and years of formal training, she brings a deep musical sensitivity and refined interpretive skills to her flute playing. Her background as a pianist enhances her understanding of phrasing, harmony, and ensemble collaboration, allowing her to shape lyrical and nuanced performances in both solo and chamber music settings.
