Davide Jeon

Davide Jeon, a Korean musician born in Italy, began his music studies at the age of 4, receiving 9 years of classical training and delving into jazz for 10 years. He has performed in various venues, ranging from classical music competitions in Italy and Vienna, as well as performing jazz standards at the Videopolis Theatre in Disneyland Paris. Over the years, he has showcased his abilities on the piano by playing in string orchestras and choirs, while also being a leader and pianist for big bands and small jazz ensembles.

Davide Jeon earned his BFA in Jazz Piano Performance degree at the University of Michigan (major in Jazz Contemplative & Studies: Piano). With the desire to grow, he is the co-founder and leader of a music club at the University of Michigan called Seoul Juice. Seoul Juive dedicates its performances to celebrating Asian culture throughout the state of Michigan by showcasing Asian-American & Pacific Islander and Korean music. As a non-profit organization, the earnings have been donated to Breast Cancer Awareness and 'Hungry for Music' charities.

With two years of classroom teaching experience and five years of private lessons, Davide Jeon has guided students toward their musical goals, either preparing for ABRSM exams, navigating music college applications, or simply for pure enjoyment reasons. Davide Jeon's teaching philosophy is: "Each student is unique and special, and I aim to assist in achieving their goals by acknowledging and respecting their cultural backgrounds, identities, and experiences of their youth. Effective teaching is essential, but I also empower students to fulfill their potential as musicians by fostering critical thinking, nurturing curiosity, and creating a lifelong passion for learning, both academically and personally."
