STUDENTS' ENSEMBLE

Audition Information:

Beginner Groups: Students taking private lessons for up to 2 years

• A one octave scale of 2 listed keys: A Major, G Major, D Major, F Major, C Major

• One own choice of solo piece up to 2 minutes

Intermediate Groups: Student taking private lessons for 2-4 years

• A two octaves scale and arpeggio of listed Major keys: A Major, G Major, D Major, F Major, C Major

• A two octaves scale and arpeggio of listed minor keys: a minor, g minor, d minor, c minor

• Two contrasted solo pieces, one of the choices may be an etude, total of 5 minutes limit

Advanced Group: Middle and high school students taking private lessons for over 4 years

• A three octaves Major scale and arpeggio that is not your lowest open string. 

  • Ex. G Major for violin or C Major for viola/cello​

• A three octaves minor scale and arpeggio that is not your lowest open string

• Two contrasted solo pieces, one of the choice may be an etude, total of 8 minutes limit

All Auditions:

• No repeats, unless it is less than 4 measures long

• Accompaniment is not required

• Memorization is not required

• Candidates please announce your own name, instrument, and what you are playing in the begging of the video
