Heeyoung Choi’s musical journey began at the age of six years old. Her passion for music flourished during her time at a renowned arts school, where she honed her skills and performed a wide range of repertoire.

With a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from UC Santa Cruz, Heeyoung is not only a skilled performer but also a dedicated educator and composer. She has taught students of all ages and backgrounds, focusing on nurturing their musicality while building a strong technical foundation.

Drawing from her diverse experiences as a soloist, chamber musician, conductor, and composer, Heeyoung specializes in preparing students for exams, competitions, and recitals, whether as solo or in ensembles. Her teaching approach emphasizes the importance of musicianship, incorporating elements like music theory, history, and aural training into instrumental practice.
