Nien-Yu Chuang

Nien-Yu Chuang, a native of Taiwan, a pianist, collaborator, flutist, school music teacher and orchestra coordinator. She earned her Performance Certificate from The University of Texas at Arlington and has a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Campbellsville University. She has studied with many distinguished musicians, including pianists John Solomons, Pavel Nersessian, Andrew Le, Gregory Partain, Janet Bass Smith, Dr. William Budai and Dr. Wesley Roberts, also had lessons with Polish pianist Jerzy Sterczyński while participated in Chopin International Music Festival at Warsaw, Poland in 2015.

Nien-Yu was named the Piano Winner of the Young Artist category in the KMTA Bluegrass Competition in 2016 and received an Honorable Mention Award in 2017. Later that same year, she was invited to perform at the Campbellsville Bicentennial Celebration event. In 2018, she won the 3rd prize from Great Composers Competition-Best Mozart Performance. Between 2016 and 2018, she gave back to the community through music every six months with the Campbellsville University Flute Ensemble. Later, Nien-Yu attended College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) as a piano collaborator with UT-Arlington Wind Symphony for concerts in 2020 at Norman, Oklahoma.

 

With her professional music education and training, Nien-Yu began her teaching career at an elementary school in Taiwan in 2021, where she was in charge of organizing special music events and inspiring her students’ passion for music. Additionally, she served as the coordinator of the Youth Orchestra at the Evangelical Formosa Church of Phoenix from 2024 to 2026. And she gave her ensemble performance as one of the opening concert guest of Taiwanese movie <A Foggy Tale> premiere at Phoenix in April 2026, and at International Tour of Taiwan Gourmet Cuisine at Phoenix in May 2026.
