Tina Tsai

Born in Taiwan, Ya-Ting (Tina) Tsai began studying piano performance at the age of five. In 2017 and 2019 she obtained her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, respectively, with high honors in Piano Performance from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München). During her studies, Ya-Ting had continuously performed in many piano festivals, which drove her interest in further studying in the field of the piano performance specialization. In 2021 she received the highest degree in piano performance in Germany, the postgraduate continuing studies “Meisterklasse” degree, from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich.

 

As an active and multidisciplinary pianist, Ya-Ting has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in Europe. Additionally, she has been invited to many summer academies including the International Salzburg Summer Academy, Bacewicz International Summer Music Academy, International Winter Academy in Moscow, and masterclasses in Europe with eminent pianists, Igolinsky Stanislay, Dmitri Alexeev, Bern Goetzke, Stefan Vladar, Antti Siirala, Oliver Kern, and Jia Ning Kong.
 

Ya-Ting has been dedicated to piano education for more than 5 years and two of her directed students achieved the 1st and 2nd prize of the Munich Youth Piano Competition in 2018 and 2020, respectively. As a proactive and sympathetic piano teacher, she is adept at communicating with students and cultivating students’ interests. The core value of education to her is to create a joyful learning atmosphere for her students.
