Jasmine Hu

Jasmine Hu studied piano performance in conservatories of music in China and the U.S. for 14 years with awarding scholarships in her bachelor's and master's study. She holds a master’s degree in piano performance at Manhattan School of Music with Prof. Alexandre Moutouzkine, who is the chair of the piano department. Jasmine's bachelor’s degree took place at San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Prof. Corey McVicar, who was the winner in Liszt International Piano Competition. In high school and middle school, she studied in the school affiliated to Central Conservatory of Music with Prof. Huiqiao Bao who was the judge of The Leeds International Piano Competition, and Prof. Hua Chang who is a faculty member of the Central Conservatory of Music.


Jasmine has had plentiful experiences of attending piano competitions and winning multiple prizes. Some of the highlighted prizes are the First prize at Baldwin piano competition (China), the 8th Chopin International Piano Competition (China), and the Sichuan Conservatory of Music Chamber music competition. In addition, she won the Second place prize at the Annual United States Open Music Competition and the Third place prize at Imola Summer Piano Academy & Festival and Xinghai Piano Competition. Jasmine also has had experience of performing in recitals and concertos with orchestras in China, Spain, Poland and the U.S.


As a piano teacher, Jasmine has been teaching for 9 years, and her students came from Asia, Europe and the U.S in different ages ranging from children to adults. Under the teaching of her, many students performed in recitals, concerts and passed piano level exams in China and the U.S.
